Round 2 of the Cyprus 1/8 buggy nationals (Summer Series), organized by RCO, took place last weekend in Pafos at the beautiful and full facilitated âśNa-Vouni-Taâť Off-road track.
The weather is very hot during the summer on our Island, with temperatures of more than 40°C. So, the organizers decided for a Night Raceâ¦
Unfortunately, summer vacations and the very high temperature influenced the number of drivers attending, but some of the top off-road Cyprus RC drivers attended the event and of course Team XRAY Cyprus was there !!!
The track was dusty & rough with some technical jumps, tight turns, and a not-very-long straight.
Team XRAY Cyprus driver Vasilis Christoforou, without any extra practice time on the track, managed to take a 3rd place podium finish in the 40-minute A-Final.
In the 30-minute B-Final race, our young and promising driver George Eleftheriou took the spoils, winning the Final at his debut race.
